There are many reasons that organisations find themselves in need of a brand refresh. Sometimes they feel their logo is outdated or that their current branding is inconsistent. They may be adding new products or services or preparing for future growth. Whatever the reason, any changes to brand updates must be relevant to your customers and target audiences.

THE STORY

With business growth objectives and a range of new products to offer, our client - Encompass - approached us in need of a brand refresh. They needed help with establishing their brand values, messaging, proposition, and visual language. They wanted to maintain their leading market position, with their compliance technology solutions, create a differentiated product offering and to increase their clientele, globally. Part of the brand refresh project was also to troubleshoot the business, market perceptions, products, messages, and competitive landscape.

THE SOLUTION

To deliver a successful brand refresh, it was crucial that we got to know the Encompass business inside and out. We did a lot of digging beforehand so we understood the business, industry and competitors. Our brand workshops consist of a series of stages, not only to explore logos and colour palettes, etc., but also to extract the nuggets of knowledge and information within the business, its principles, differentiation, values, mission, and market position. These elements are essential to developing and shaping the new brand look and feel.

THE RESULTS

Following on from the brand workshop, the findings and insights we extracted were compiled into a formal brand guideline document, including suggested messaging to use as a foundation for building the Encompass brand over time. The guidelines are designed so they evolve with a brand as it matures. The Brand Guidelines were shared with Encompass’s key stakeholders, and we worked through one or two rounds of iterations until everyone was happy that the brand could be rolled out across all platforms. thePageDesign continues to collaborate with Encompass to integrate the refreshed brand into all their marketing, sales and corporate wide materials.
